Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of QuoteLab and the services available at quotelab.io, including our booking widget, dashboard, API, and mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use QuoteLab.

2. Account Terms

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorized access. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Service Description

QuoteLab provides an embeddable booking widget, scheduling tools, a pricing and quoting engine, customer management, and payment processing integration for local service businesses. The Service is designed to be embedded on your existing website and allows your customers to book appointments, receive quotes, and make payments online. We continuously improve the Service and may add, modify, or remove features at any time.

4. Payment & Fee Terms

QuoteLab offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at signup. All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Transaction fees: When you accept payments from your customers through QuoteLab, a small platform fee is applied to each transaction. This fee is deducted automatically from the payment before it reaches your connected Stripe account. The current platform fee rate is displayed on your dashboard and on our pricing page. Stripe's own payment processing fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are deducted separately by Stripe.

Tips: Customer tips are passed through to your Stripe account in full with no platform fee applied.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe and you agree to Stripe's terms of service when connecting your Stripe account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to transmit malware or harmful code, to interfere with the Service's operation, to scrape or harvest data from other users, or to impersonate another person or entity. You are responsible for all content you upload or transmit through the Service, including business information, service descriptions, and customer communications.

6. Intellectual Property

QuoteLab, its logos, and the Service are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including business information, photos, and customer data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using QuoteLab, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your data available for export for 30 days following termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the Service. Your continued use of QuoteLab after the effective date of the revised terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
