2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, business details, and service configurations when you create an account. When customers book through the widget, we collect their name, email, phone number, address, and any service-specific details (such as vehicle information or property details) needed to generate a quote. Payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe — we never store credit card numbers on our servers. We also collect usage data such as page views, feature usage, and device information to improve the Service.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to operate and deliver the Service, including processing bookings, generating quotes, sending confirmation emails and reminders, and facilitating payments. We may use your email address to send product updates, tips, and support communications. We use aggregated, anonymized data to analyze trends and improve the platform. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Information Sharing
We share customer booking information with the service business they booked with, as necessary to fulfill the appointment. We share payment data with Stripe to process transactions. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as email delivery and hosting providers), subject to confidentiality agreements. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, and access controls limiting who can view personal information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, keeping us out of PCI scope. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records and customer data are retained for as long as the associated business account is active, plus 30 days after account deletion to allow for data export. Aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely in anonymized form. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. Business owners can export their customer data and booking history from the dashboard. End customers who booked through the widget can request access to or deletion of their data by contacting the business or by reaching out to us directly at [email protected]. We will respond to data requests within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for session management and authentication. These are essential cookies required for the Service to function. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. The embeddable booking widget uses minimal cookies necessary for the booking flow and does not set tracking cookies on your customers' browsers.
9. Children's Privacy
QuoteLab is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
