Wix App Guide

Everything you need to install, configure, and get the most out of the QuoteLab Wix app.

1. Installation

The QuoteLab Wix app is installed directly from the Wix App Market.

1.Go to your Wix site dashboard and click Add Apps, or visit the Wix App Market and search for QuoteLab.
2.Click Add to Site on the QuoteLab app listing.
3.Wix will redirect you to your dashboard where the QuoteLab setup wizard launches automatically.

Note: The app is free to install. Your QuoteLab subscription determines booking limits and features.

2. Setup Wizard

The first time you open the QuoteLab dashboard page in Wix, a 4-step setup wizard guides you through connecting your account.

Step 1 — Connect your account

1.Sign in to your QuoteLab dashboard → Settings → Integrations.
2.Click Generate API Key and copy it.
3.Copy your Business Slug (shown on the same page).
4.Paste both into the wizard and click Verify & Continue.

Step 2 — Confirmation

The wizard verifies the connection and shows your business name and service count. Click Continue.

Step 3 — Choose default widget

If your account has multiple widgets configured, select the one to use by default. You can change this later in the widget's settings panel.

Step 4 — Place your widget

Choose how to add the widget: open Wix Editor to place it on a specific page, or skip and add it later.

3. Booking Widget

The Booking Widget lets your Wix visitors get instant quotes, choose a time, and pay — all without leaving your site.

Adding the widget to a page

1.Open your site in Wix Editor.
2.Click Add Elements (the blue + button in the left panel).
3.Go to Apps → QuoteLab → QuoteLab Booking Widget.
4.Drag or click to place it on the page. Resize as needed.
5.Click Settings on the widget to open the settings panel and connect it to your business.

Tip: The widget height adjusts automatically as visitors move through the booking steps — you don't need to set a fixed height.

5. Floating Button (Show on All Pages)

To show a "Book Now" button on every page of your Wix site, use Wix's built-in Pin to Screen feature.

1.Add the QuoteLab Booking Widget to any page (see Section 3).
2.Right-click the widget on the canvas → Pin to Screen.
3.In the Pin to Screen panel, enable Show on all pages.
4.Choose your anchor position (bottom-right is most common).
5.Set the widget mode to Modal or Inline in the settings panel, and resize to a compact trigger size if desired.
6.Publish your site.

Note: Wix does not allow third-party apps to inject scripts site-wide. The Pin to Screen method is the recommended approach for a persistent floating button.

6. Dashboard Page

The QuoteLab dashboard page lives inside your Wix business dashboard. Access it by going to your Wix site dashboard → Apps → QuoteLab.

From the dashboard page you can:

— View revenue for the last 30 days
— See booking counts (today, this week, this month)
— See pending quote count
— Browse your 5 most recent bookings
— Jump directly to your full QuoteLab dashboard
— Disconnect and reconnect your account

The dashboard page fetches live data from your QuoteLab account using the API key saved during setup.

7. Widget Settings Panel

Each widget has a settings panel in the Wix Editor. Click the widget on the canvas, then click Settings.

Booking Widget settings

Setting	Description
Business Slug	Your QuoteLab business slug. Click Connect to verify.
Widget	Which widget to display (if you have multiple configured).
Display Mode	Inline (embedded) or Modal (popup overlay).
Theme	Light or Dark color scheme.

Reviews Widget settings

Setting	Description
Business Slug	Your QuoteLab business slug. Click Connect to verify.
Number of Reviews	How many reviews to display (1–10).
Layout	Grid, List, or Carousel.
Theme	Light or Dark color scheme.

8. Troubleshooting

Widget shows blank or white

— Open the widget Settings panel and confirm the business slug is entered and verified (green checkmark).
— Make sure the slug is all lowercase with hyphens only — no spaces or special characters.
— Publish your site and check on the live URL (widgets may appear differently in editor preview).

Can't connect in setup wizard

— Verify your API key is copied exactly from the QuoteLab integrations page — no extra spaces.
— Check that your business slug matches the one shown in your QuoteLab dashboard.
— Make sure your QuoteLab account is active and not suspended.

Widget height doesn't adjust

— This is expected in Wix Editor preview — test on your published site.
— The widget uses postMessage to report its height. This works on published sites but may be restricted in the editor sandbox.

Dashboard page shows no data

— Go through the setup wizard again (click Disconnect → re-enter credentials).
— Data only appears once you have at least one booking or quote in your QuoteLab account.

9. FAQ

Is the Wix app free?

Yes. The app is free to install from the Wix App Market. Your QuoteLab subscription plan determines your booking limits.

Do I need a paid Wix plan?

No. The QuoteLab app works on any Wix plan, including the free plan. However, to accept payments your Wix site must be on a paid plan (Wix requires this for any external payment processing).

Can I use the widget on a Wix Studio site?

Yes. The QuoteLab app works with both standard Wix Editor and Wix Studio (Editor X).

How is the widget different from a Wix Bookings widget?

QuoteLab is designed specifically for service businesses that need instant upfront quotes before booking. It uses a custom pricing engine with multipliers, add-ons, and conditional rules — not just a simple time-slot picker.

What happens if I change my QuoteLab services or pricing?

Changes to your services, pricing, and availability are reflected in the widget immediately — no need to update the Wix app.
